About

Richard has been delivering Residential Bootcamps at all four of Champney’s Health Resorts for the last 8 years.

He runs, 7 night, 4 night and 2 night bootcamps, which have recently been voted as one of the top 10 Boot camps in the UK.  Richard and Champney’s hope to build on the success of this and to be the number one Boot Camp in the world.  Below are some testimonials, which illustrate how we are perhaps not far away from this already.

Richard has an honours degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Exeter.  He has since extended his practical knowledge of exercise and sport.  For example he is now Pilates trained by a leading exponent of the practice, Alan Herdman.  Richard has attained Certified Personal Trainer status recognised by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  In addition he is an instructor in Postural Correction certified by Advanced Training Philosophies Ltd.  He has recently completed an Internship with Sport 981 working with the Head Coach of Strength and Conditioning training elite British tennis players aged between 10-14.  Richard is a fully qualified Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and will be fully accredited by the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach.
